Artist Note: I sculpted the original piece around twelve years ago and kept this first piece of the edition for myself. I have loved having it around but recently decided that it was okay to let it go.
This piece is now a closed edition meaning that there will not be any other sculptures of this piece available once this final piece sells.

A sleepy western screech owl peers out of her stump hide out.
Artist Note: The gray screech owl is a master of camouflage and hides well in tree cavities as it sleeps during the day after a night of hunting. I love how the feathering with all of the gray cryptic colors move in various directions as the bird fluffs out to sleep. This was a fun one to paint.
